Made of tough, wear-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced material, this 24" x 48" Stanfield Heat Mat is perfect for baby pigs, reptiles, and domestic pets. This easy-to-clean heat mat will warm 8 to 10 pigs per side.

Specially designed to provide the optimal temperature for your animals, the mat promotes growth and reduces stress. It features a one-piece monolithic molded slab design that provides a uniform warm temperature over the surface of the pad of 30° to 35° F above air temperature, eliminating hot and cold spots. Safety tested, the mat has UL, CE & CSE certification listings.

Recommended Use with Pets: Heat mats work best when mounted to the back or side of the doghouse. This allows your pet to get away from the heat if it gets too hot next to the mat. Heat Mats can cause burns, so please use with caution. Blankets, straw, or hay should never be used with a heat mat.

Great!

I bought this product to apply emergency warmth to a cold alpaca or llama. It is sturdy and well-built, and I think that, mounted on a piece of plywood, it will hold up to camelids. Although our alpacas can weigh up to 220 lbs, and our llama is 400 lbs, the product will not be damaged by their foot pads (no hooves).

This product is wonderful. I just had to replace mine after ten years. It keeps my pet pig super warm and happy even when it is 5 degrees outside.

Heating orchid plants

I am using this product to add heat under my orchid plants. It will give them a few degrees at the root level to insure even growth during the Winter months in San Diego. I am totally pleased with the sturdiness and ease of use of the product.,

Great for goats

I recently purchased a large mat to attach to the wall in my goat hut. It was easy to install with the predrilled holes. Cord has nice wrapping but we still covered the cord with a piece of metal as goats tend to eat what they aren't suppose to. Plugged it in, and it warmed right away. Have used it for 2 days now with temp in the 20s and the goats seem to stay in the warmed hut. Sturdy, easy clean hard plastic. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Very Good

I have used these mats for years from baby goats to little pigs. I now am using them for my dogs in my kennel! I love that they come in many sizes. I have a mat that is every bit of 10 years old and still working! They are easy to clean, they are well worth the money!
