Made with durable polyethylene, the Kane Electric Baby Pig Heat Mat is perfect for farrowing crates, free stalls, and nursery pens. The Kane heat mat features an insulated bottom, and dead air space inside the mat and above the heater to maintain heat longer and reheat quickly.

Proven 80% more efficient than heat lamps and 30% more efficient than fiberglass mats, the mat’s unique design maintains a favorable temperature for farrowing environments to reduce stress, improve digestion and promote rapid growth. Mat, 13.5" x 48".

Recommended Use with Pets: Heat mats work best when mounted to the back or side of the doghouse. This allows your pet to get away from the heat if it gets too hot next to the mat. The Kane Baby Pig Heat Mats can cause burns, so please use them with caution. Blankets, straw, or hay should never be used with a baby pig heat mat.

Heating pad

I purchased this item to use for our goats born during colder months. Received it to use in time for this year's kidding season. I am very pleased with it and trying to decide if I want to have an extra one in hand. Very satisfied with the price after comparing to other sites I looked at.

Fantastic heat pad!

Fantastic heat pad for my goats! At first I was unsure about the dimensions and using them for my goats/goat kids, but I am SO glad I did! The narrow/lengthy pad means one or two goats won't hog the whole pad to themselves. I heard about these from another goat farmer, she bottle feeds her kids and they all line up on the pads on cold nights. HIGHLY suggest these heated pads. I will be getting a couple more for next year :)

This Matt works fantastic. We put a we put a timer electronic heat adjuster on it as well to moderate the heat. It works so wonderful.

I USED THESE HEAT PADS AT AT PET EXPO IN GREEN BAY AND THEY KEPT ALL MY SNAKES AT THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE

Add 1"

The size said that it was 48", but the extra 1" strip makes it 49". So, add 1" to any size that you purchase. Other than that, the pigs like it and seems to keep them warm on cold days and nights.
