An essential to your biosecurity program, Virkon S Broad Spectrum Disinfectant Tablets cleans and disinfects livestock housing, surfaces, and equipment. It has been proven effective against more than 500 strains of viruses, bacteria, and fungi including African Swine Fever, Foot and Mouth Disease, (FMD), Avian Influenza, Salmonella, and Campylobacter.

To Use

Fill the container with the desired amount of water and add Virkon S Disinfectant and Virucide Tablets to achieve the desired solution concentration. For a 1% solution, add one tablet to one pint of water.

Use a 1% solution of Virkon S as a one-step cleaning and disinfecting procedure (remove gross filth and heavy soil deposits before application of the disinfecting/cleaning solution) for all hard non-porous surfaces, equipment, instruments, utensils, and cages.

Limited time before expiration

I was sent tablets with an "expiration" date of March 2026 (5 months from order date). My familiarity with this product led me to expect a longer shelf life on the tablets; I would not have purchased tablets "off-the-shelf" with such a short time left before labelled expiration.

Use as a cleaner and multipurpose spray

Easy to use and protects our dogs against a wide range of viruses. Had to swap this in for Trifectant which is apparently discontinued but Virkon is chemically the same according to the labels. QC confirmed and shipped the order quickly, complete with email receipts, and a seamless process. Will be ordering from here again!

Virkon is a great disinfectant for use around birds and now as virucide for novel coronavirus.

I’ve used Virkon as a general broad spectrum disinfectant around birds of prey for years. The new tablet form is very convenient for making small batches which I believe last for one week after dilution. Since EPA added Virkon S to its list of effective virucides for the novel coronavirus, I’ve found even more uses for it. For instance, I can make up my own fresh disinfectant wipes for a small fraction of the price of commercial wipes like Lysol or Chlorox. Smells fine, doesn’t bleach out color, in my experience. Highly recommended!
