More about Little Giant® 1-Quart Screw-On Poultry Waterer Base
This Little Giant 1-Quart Screw-On Poultry Waterer Base combines with the Little Giant® 1-Quart Screw-On Feeder/Waterer Poultry Jar, QC Part #420207, to make a gravity-fed waterer for baby chicks and small birds. Made of heavy-duty polystyrene, this feeder is available in lime, purple and yellow to mix and match.
This base is also available in red, Little Giant® 1-Quart Screw-On Red Poultry Waterer Base, QC Part #420208, sold separately.
Specifications:
- 6" diameter x 1.5" H
- Screw-on waterer base
- Combines with waterer jar to make a gravity-fed waterer
- 1-quart capacity when combined with waterer jar
Unfortunately, I have found that these bases don't work well with glass jars, which is mostly what I use for my pens. The jars seem to sit too low in the base, which doesn't allow for good water flow.....and in some cases, NO water flow at all, which is quite unfortunate. The non-red bases also seem to be very flimsy.
