DURAFAN® Black Circulating Fan With Wide Guard - 18"

Bought this fan to replace a smaller 12" Durafan with a narrow guard that was in a horse stall . This fan is much more powerful than the 12". Even on the low setting it moves more air than the 12" fan. Wide guard prevents it from getting clogged with hay. Enclosed motor and auto shut off if motor gets too hot are essential features for the barn. Would buy again.

Its not easy to find "real" barn fans. You have to search quite a bit to find fans with enclosed motors. This fan has that and also a wide guard to help with clogging since I have them in a rabbit barn and fur can clog up a regular guard. They move air well...better that some larger fans I have had before. Only issue was that one of the fans was missing the connection hardware for the guard when I unboxed it. After realizing it was missing, I searched through the box and found the hardware under the bottom flap of the box. The nut and bolt are tiny and had come loose in the box, so I was lucky to find them. I had to tighten up the others to make sure the fan vibration didn't cause them to unscrew and fall off. Other than that, I am very happy with the purchase and may get more.

Got 2 of these for our horse stalls. They are fantastic! Very strong, and not even on the top speed. Hanging chain is great to switch speeds if needed & hung high. They seem to be great quality. Especially like how the basket is more open. Have had them running daily for a month, no issues at all. (I would never hang a box fan again!).

We have had this fan in our horse stall for almost 4 years and it is still working great. We especially like the wide guard because it doesn't seem to collect as much dust on the cage as some of the other fans we have. The enclosed motor is a must to keep the dust out. A great product for any horse stall with great air movement.

I have used these fans for last 15 years for misting systems. They are the perfect fan for this use. Some of these fans have lasted over 15 years of heavy use during the summer months here in California.
