I've used these with goat babies and chicks and am very pleased. I do modify them with a bulb cage for safely but if you'd offer those in the future I would solely use them.
Very light-weight, but very simple. With a 250 watt bulb it's quite warm. The barn cats love it. I have two other halogen infrared lamps that got at QC Supply and I wanted to experiment with another type. So far so good.
I've bought a lot of different types of heat lamps. These will take a lot of abuse from baby pigs. Being able to buy parts to fix them is nice also.
