More about Tuff-Lon™ Velcro Leg Bands
These Tuff-Lon™ Livestock leg bands are washable and reusable. They are made of tough nylon and can be written on.
Contents: 10 per package.
Unfortunately these velcro leg bands from Destron Fearing did not stay on the cow's legs as well as other brands that we have used. Some of them fell off within a couple of days. We use them to mark dry cows, so we need them to remain on the cow for a couple months. We don't expect 100% to remain attached, but the majority of these did not.
These leg bands arrived just in time! We had tornado warnings the night the leg bands arrived. I quickly put their identifying info on the bands and placed them on each of my horses' lower leg. The next morning they were still on, but were easy to remove. Luckily no tornado here.
I do wish I had purchased the heavy duty marker that's used for ear tags that QC offers (which I did, with a 2nd order). The letters are much easier to read than with a regular permanent marker.
I trail ride and use these on my horses when I camp. If they bother them on front leg then I put them on back leg! I have purchased several packs as people have been asking about them and think it is a wonderful idea!! I able to use permanent marker and put my phone number on them!
I trail ride and camp with the horses. I have them in Hot wire and worry about if they should get out and take off. This I.D. Band is colorful to be noticed and I write my phone number on them. The horses don't seem to be bothered by them and the cost if VERY reasonable to have peace of mind.
