Plasson® Broiler Drinker

Made of high-impact plastic to withstand the rigors of daily use, the Plasson Broiler Drinker provides a constant supply of fresh water for chicks and chickens. Its fool-proof design allows you to use the same broiler for chicks through the adult stage with no alterations.

The ballast bottle on the Broiler Drinker acts independently of the bell and eliminates wear on the valve mechanism.

Designed to ensure a constant water level and a dry floor, its sensitive system is activated when a bird drinks as little as 1/3 oz. of water. The drinker may be looped in a series for brooding. Eight to 10 drinkers are recommended for every 1,000 birds.

Notes: If wet litter develops around the drinker, check the following

• Is the water pressure too high?
• Is the water level in the bell trough too high?
• Are the drinkers raised high enough?

Additional Tips for Use

• Working Pressure: 6-12 PSI/0.4-0.8 bar for optimum efficiency
• Pressure can be regulated with a pressure regulator or via a head tank
• Ballast bottle should be completely filled with water to the water level line
• In frost-prone areas, add antifreeze to the water
• Adjust drinkers to the proper drinking height, always keeping the drinker lip a little higher than the bird's back
• Keep water level in the bell trough as low as possible
