All installation and service of these units should be performed by a qualified installation and service agency including the use of Modine’s installation and service manuals which are specifically intended for use by a qualified installation and service agency.

An integral part of the safety circuit for Modine heaters the flame sensor for models, HD30 - HD125 indicates the presence of a flame. If the sensor does not detect a flame, it will close the gas values turning off the fuel source. Suitable for Spark Ignition and Hot Surface Ignition units.

Modine Flame Sensor

After monitoring the unit's startup I noticed the burner would come on for maybe 10 seconds and then shut off intermittently. This indicated flame sensor. Once installed working perfectly. Item reasonably priced and delivered promptly. Thank you.
