More about KUHL Catching Net with 36" Net Pocket
KUHL's Catching Nets with a 36" net pocket was designed to increase durability and create a lightweight unit. They have a heavy-duty wooden handle fastened into a molded saddle connecting the top wire brace of the net. This feature makes them stronger and eliminates the weak spot between the handle and the wire brace.
The 39" long handles come with adapters and have a rubber grip to eliminate fatigue. These Catching Nets are specially designed for catching all types of game birds and poultry.
Also Available: Catching Net with 44" Net Pocket, QC Part #422050.
I have had several of these nets in the years past. They are light weight and agile nets, the basket is perfect for all gamebirds, however the wooden handle is far too short for any practical, efficient use. I use a snow rake aluminum handle on my Kuhl nets, 7ft I think the handle is, then I wrap it in tape. The foam handle slips off over time anyway. AND every break I have had in my past four nets have been where the hoop goes into the clasp. That is a huge weak point in the design. I always reinforce this point right above the clasp of the hoop with tape. They still break though.
Net is large and sturdy enough to capture big Muscovy drakes. Would probably handle most geese. It is a little heavier than I'd hoped and perhaps an integral aluminum handle would work better. I am pleased with the product and would recommend it to others
