It's designed to quickly tighten any fence, high tensile, barbed or smooth wire. When splicing wire, the tool holds the ends in place so both hands are free to make the splice. Features a patented third hook design that allows for longer pulls without resetting.

What happened to the quality

The tool was covered with so much paint none of the moving parts could move. No way to correct unless you want to remove the paint. This is made in the USA and these guys need to start paying attention, the Chinese do better work when compared to this tool.
