More about Elanco Elector™ PSP Fly Control

Flies can be a serious nuisance and hazard for both livestock and humans alike. Elanco Elector PSP provides effective control of houseflies, darkling beetles, and northern fowl mites in and around livestock facilities. This fly control is effective as it provides two modes of control - larvicide and adulticide - so there is only one product to mix and apply.

As a larvicide Elector PSP kills larvae before they can become pupae and adults that lay eggs. As an adulticide, it is non-repellant, so flies stay longer on surfaces and obtain a toxic dose. The delayed mode of action allows the adults to fly away and die, which helps keep the immediate area clean.

When used as a part of an integrated pest management program, Elector PSP can be used in rotation with adulticides or larvicides for resistance management. Animals, including lactating cattle, can be present at the time of premise treatment. Because it has shown no cross-resistance with existing chemistries, it can be rotated with organophosphates, pyrethroids and neonicotinoids. Elector PSP's active ingredient does not require workers to use protective equipment to apply.

Fowl mite eradication

Well worth the money spent. Don't waste your time or money on anything else. I mixed up 5 gallons. 2 gallons went into a tank sprayer. The other 3 in a small green menards bucket . Cleaned out coop, sprayed walls nesting boxes, and feed room with the takn sprayer. Caught each bird aprox 72 total and dunked them in the bucket, making sure to ruffle and soak vent area as this is where the mites generally lay their eggs. Put the hens back into clean bedding and new dust bath. 2 weeks later hens are no longer attacking each other, saddle feathers are returning. No evidence of mites crawling or larvae. Plan on using every 6 months or so as a preventive.

Worked Great

First time user. We have fly problems due to horse stables down the road. I added 2 ounces to my Ortho home defense container and sprayed everything- sprayed the dirt in our flower pots and all the areas where we have fly bags. 2 weeks later we have hardly any flies ! Can’t believe how well this product works! A little pricey but I save money on all the fly bags I have to buy every year. Delivery was great. Website easy to use. Thanks!

Amazing Product!!!

Used to treat lice on chickens. It literally worked overnight. Sprayed the flock once they were on the roost and in the morning the roost bars were covered in louse corpses. A month later my birds are still free of lice. No need to worry about harm to the chickens and no egg withdrawal. I love that only one treatment was required.
