An excellent choice for poultry breeding houses or dog kennels, the DURA-SLAT® Poultry & Kennel Flooring - 24" x 60" - Black Non-Connecting Flooring is made of high impact, wear-resistant polypropylene plastic. Its non-porous smooth surface has 1.1” square openings to allow manure and dirt to fall through it - cutting the cleaning time in half compared to traditional wood slat floors.

A cleaner floor means less contamination of chicken eggs and healthy dogs too! Rot and corrosion-proof, the solid plastic construction resists microorganism buildup. This durable material easily outlasts wood slats and reduces footpad, leg, and blisters animals typically experience with wood slats.

Installation: It is recommended that you use 2" x 4" (5.08 cm x 10.16 cm) or 2" x 6" (5.08 cm x 15.24 cm) wooden supports. Fasten these support beams to the slat with No. 10 stainless steel head screws with a minimum length of 2" (5.08 cm).

Exactly what I needed

I didn't use this product for the purpose intended. I bought it to cut and place in a water feature to put rocks on top of. I needed something durable, waterproof and black to fill space so I wouldn't have to buy hundreds of dollars of black polished rock. The spaces allow water to flow through easily. Perfect!

Saving my goats' feet

These are amazing. I have 8 goats and started using these in wetter areas of the barn and pasture walkways during our NW rainy season. After 2 months the differenve in hoof health is amazing (pet goats, and I do hoof care monthly so this made my life way better). I kick out the built up gunk once weekly with barn cleanings, but could probably go 2 weeks. I just lie them right in the ground. Slippery until scattered with a little hay etc from goats the first day. Wish I had known about these years ago.

Highly recommend

Wanted something for the bottom of our rabbit cages. These are easy on their feet and make cleaning a breeze! We were able to easily attach them directly to the wood frame. Definitely will be buying them again!
