Citric Acid is used to increase the solubility of tetracyclines when used in swine and poultry drinking water. Citric Acid can also be used as a waterline cleaner and antimicrobial.

Directions

  • To Increase Antibiotic Solubility: (oxytetracycline, chlortetracycline, tetracycline) Mix 205 grams (1/2 packet) Citric Acid 410 with 25.6 grams antibiotic in a stock solution. Then deliver per label instructions.
  • For a Water Line Cleaner: Mix 820-1,640 grams (2-4 packets) in 1 gallon of water. Use alone to clean water lines.

Citric Acid for moss control

Use: moss control mixture. 2 TBLS citric acid plus 1 TBLS clove oil per quart. Spray on the asphalt driveway. Keeps moss off for about a year.

Citric Acid Works!

I just started using this product based upon research of other folks who use Citric Acid in their chickens water to help the bird fight the cold. I will be using this product along with vinegar and Terra-vet as a daily drinking water for the birds. The cost is cheap! An once of prevention is better than injecting LA-50 or LA-200 into your birds at a much higher cost.
