Preg-tone worked very well just take your time and it gave me the answers on every gilt I tested

Great Product

After talking to other Hog Farmers they suggested this unit, no cords to get caught around legs. I read the directions and went to the barn, tried it out on the bred sows. it is a practiced art. I will keep practicing. for the price you can't beat it.

Too bulky

We would highly recommend the upgraded rechargeable unit.

After reading the instructions you are required to press and hold the center of the unit the entire time you are using it. The gel causes the unit to get slippery making keeping a grip difficult. It is too bulky to manipulate around the hind legs of our gilt to get the proper angle. We returned ours and upgraded to the rechargeable unit. We love the new one. The upgrade has a smaller detection surface that is easier to manipulate and no button to press.
