An excellent choice for poultry breeding houses or dog kennels, 24.5" x 49.5" x .75 Black Overlapping Dura-Slat Poultry & Kennel Flooring is made of high impact, wear-resistant polypropylene plastic. Its non-porous smooth surface has 1.1” square openings to allow manure and dirt to fall through it - cutting the cleaning time in half compared to traditional wood slat floors.

A cleaner floor means less contamination of chicken eggs and healthy dogs too! Rot and corrosion-proof, the solid plastic construction resists microorganism buildup. This durable material easily outlasts wood slats and reduces footpad, leg, and blisters animals typically experience with wood slats.

Installation: It is recommended that you use 2" x 4" (5.08 cm x 10.16 cm) or 2" x 6" (5.08 cm x 15.24 cm) wooden supports. Fasten these support beams to the slat with No. 10 stainless steel head screws with a minimum length of 2" (5.08 cm).

The screw holes are spaced 24" on center, but each panel (minus overlap) is 48.24". After the third panel, you're already missing your 24"oc joists. If you have a run of six panels, like me, you're off by 1.5" by the last joist. I had to trim both ends of each panel to make them fit. Absolutely ridiculous that they couldn't get the length right. Interlocking side tabs are also extremely difficult to connect. Not a happy customer.

Poor quality

The Dura-Slats were not the quality I was expecting. Very thin and poor quality. We will not be purchasing anymore and I would not recommend them.

Excellent

Bought a bunch for a dog kennel, very pleased with how it turned out. Well worth the cost!

Not as sturdy as expected

Much flimsier than expected. At 24 inch joist spacing I couldn't even walk on it steadily without feeling like I would fall through (150 lbs). Increased joists and still not very happy with it. Wish I hadn't bought extra. Guess they'll become shelves instead.

worked perfectly

purchased (6) for a new Turkey coop and they are fantastic!! Makes cleaning super easy!! I just spray them off with pressure water every 3rd day.
