More about KUHL 300 lb. Capacity Range Feeder with Rain Shield
KUHL's 300 lb. Range Feeder with a rain shield is one of the most popular range feeders on the market. Locks are built into the lid, which snaps into lock depressions in the body preventing it from blowing off. The extensions on the side of the rain shield prevent the feed from getting wet.
The body is constructed from heavy-duty plastic with reinforced ridges all the way around so it can handle 300 pounds of food. Metal legs allow you to adjust the level of feed that flows out of the body to the pan. It's possible to adjust the feed level directly from the pan.
Additional Details
- Ideal for pheasant, chickens, ducks or turkeys as well as larger animals like sheep, goat or ostrich

- This feeder includes a rain shield

For a feeder without a Rain Shield, see QC Part #422227.
I installed it at 7 ft. High on a pole for turkeys. Holds up good in the weather. It does hold more than 200 lbs. Of feed. I would recommend this product
This is a great feeder! It only took me 20 minutes to put together and now I only need to fill it once every 10 days for our 100 birds. The shield keeps all the rain and snow from the feed... awesome!
Fast shipping, quality product and excellent customer service made this transaction a pleasure. Assembled two feeders in about an hour.
Overall, this feeder seems very well constructed, and so far has held up to the weather and my 50 chickens. Keeps the feed dry. This is a good purchase and a good price. I would buy this product again.
You are going to need a ratchet set, a couple wrenches and maybe 30min to an hour (depending on your skill) to put this together.
On the negative side, It definitely does not hold 300 pounds of pelleted chicken feed. I put four bags in (200 pounds), and it is nearly fully. It might hold 300 pounds of mash.. but there is no way 300 pounds of pellets fits in there. Overall, I am okay with this small drawback as everything else is good. If you have alot of chickens/turkeys and are tired of filling small feeders all the time, give this a try.
