The Push-In Style Nipple is the ideal poultry and gamebird nipple for both broiler and layer systems.

Features

  • Poly with Delrin stainless steel body
  • 360° side-action pin
  • Sealing components are 100% stainless steel
  • Does not require a drip cup
  • Water drips easily with any touch from poultry
  • Works with gravity fed systems such as a 5-gallon bucket
  • Working pressure should be reduced to 1 PSI or less
  • Will NOT operate on garden hose pressure
  • Vertical mounting ONLY will leak if mounted horizontally

Instructions for Gravity Fed Systems

  1. Drill holes in the bottom of the sealed bucket with an 11/32" drill bit, sold separately. [Drill a hole 9.3 mm or 11/32" or up to 3/8".] Three holes are suggested, spaced accordingly, for maximum efficiency.
  2. When installing nipples, place the rubber grommet in the drilled hole first, followed by the actual nipple. A grommet is included with each nipple. Wetting the nipple first eases the application.
  3. Hanging or fastening your drinker will depend on the location and application. Rope, chain, or cable (sold separately) is recommended.

Avoid the cheepo junk on Amazon - start with these.

We raise about 6000 pastured broilers per season. We were looking to improve our water system in the brooder. We used to use the plason broiler drinkers with a five gallon bucket (they work great in the field with older birds, but not well in the brooder). We wanted to move to nipples with 5gal buckets for ease of cleaning and troubleshooting.

We bought 100 "no-name" nipples from Amazon for about $.45ea and thought we were smart. The half that didn't leak all over the place would get jammed up and not flow. What a disaster with 1500 thirsty and wet birds.

We were hesitant spending FOUR TIMES the money on these after the failure before. WOW - we were wrong - these are very well designed and manufactured. They work, and they work perfectly.

Worth EVERY PENNY.

These were replacements for the ones that broke/leaked because I was too lazy to remove them over the winter. Removed the old and pushed these ones in and no leaks at all. I have a small set-up with a rain barrel attached to pvc w/ 3 nipples. Would recommend and will purchase again when needed in the future.
