    Great

Review by Sjohns on Aug 12, 2016

    Great product.
Had a problem with warped metal when trying to put together, but it was obviously an issue with shipping.

    Good quality

Review by Farmer lady on Jul 15, 2016

Fairly easy to assemble. Works fine. Did not get five stars because it arrived bent, but easily repairable. Assembly instructions somewhat confusing.

    So far its great

Review by Fishers on May 6, 2016

Only had it a few days but it working so far. Assembly took about an hour, needed to use a hammer to bang out some of the folds and bends it got during shipping. pigs figured it out in less than a minute, no joke.

    Hog feeder assembly instructions

Review by Small Pig farmer on Apr 29, 2016

I only have had it for three days so I can't say anything about durability yet. In regard to assembly instructions they are not friendly, and very confusing. I have never put a hog feeder together and had to take off the front a couple times to get to other bolts/nuts to tighten them, if the instructions were better it would have gotten more stars. It also came bent, it wasn't too bad, we'll see it that area is the first to rust.

    Good product

Surprised by the amount of assembly needed. But easy enough to do. Good quality.

    Seems OK

Review by Jason F on Aug 28, 2015

Haven't put food in it, but it appear to be well designed. Directions to assemble obviously put together by someone that needs communication training because they are pretty terrible. If not for those, I'd have rated it 5 stars. Can't wait to use it.

    Adequate

Review by Chris on Jul 4, 2015

Arrived damaged, had to be bent back to straight. Obviously not top-of-the-line, I imagine mass produced with just enough quality to get by. Instructions confusing, but we figured it out after a couple hours. The pigs seem to like it.
If it lasts 2 years I will probably be satisfied. The pigs are already trying to pull it around, even though we bolted it down to plywood and pallets and braced the back to their shed.

This feeder is very well built. Directions aren't very good for putting it together but other than that I'm very pleased with it.

    Exactly what we expected

Review by Kile Farms on Mar 13, 2015

Product is great and wonderful for the price. Only comment would be relative to the instructions. Overall a great product and didn't take much to put together.

More attention to detail is needed.

Review by Dirt Hog Farmer on Oct 2, 2014

Overall I am pleased with the feeder, It holds a lot of feed and was easy to assemble, although the directions were not written well. There are a couple of issues I had with this feeder. There are no lock washers supplied with the kit, just bolts and nuts. This feeder needs to have Teflon lock nuts so It does not fall apart with continued use. Not much detail was paid to the manufacture of this feeder. The lids needed to be trimmed so that they would not tear when the lid closed against the hinge parts. I trimmed them easily myself with a hack saw, but I shouldn't have had to trim it myself and now the feeder will rust where I trimmed because I took away the galvanizing. The adjustable feed gate is really not needed on this unit. The open most position is fine, my hogs don't spill feed and the feed flows nicely. Buy Teflon nuts before assembling if you want this unit to hold up. Trim the corners of the lids so they don't tear at the corners. Leave out the feed gate, it isn't needed. Thanks for the free pair of gloves.

    Pain to put together!

Review by farmgrl on Aug 21, 2014

This feeder was just what I needed and a fair price. But if I knew it was going to be such a pain to put together I would have paid more to another company to ship assembled. The holes did not line up, it took a few hours to put together and it can not be done alone. We will see how long it lasts!

What I needed at a fair price

Review by 4h dad on May 28, 2014

It is relatively simple to put together. Some of the instructions for the feeder lids and the odd shaped pieces are lacking detail, but it was simple enough. It's a bear to get the last 4-5 holes to line up. I needed a center punch to line them up, and used my drill on the last one. It's very similar to the one I assembled 30+ years ago when I was in 4-h.

    Well-built

Review by JL on May 27, 2014

Feeder is OK to assemble. Some holes at the end had trouble lining up. A center punch was a big help. Ended up drilling out one hole that wouldn't cooperate. Went together in about 2 hours. Very similar to the one I put together as a new 4-H member 30+ years ago. Great feeder, will last years as a feeder for our kids 4-H pigs.

Great product if it were sold assembled.

Review by MS on May 25, 2014

Product is well made and functional, however, I would not buy again unless sold assembled. I would be willing to pay more if sold assembled as it takes time to decipher small assembly instruction sheet and takes several hours to put together.

    4H Pig Feeder

Review by Perfect on Mar 14, 2014

We are currently feeding 9 pigs using this feeder. Seems to be working very well. Nice quality. Directions to put it together was a little challenging, but we got it done.

As the pigs grow, I still think it will work nicely as the pigs do not eat at the same time anyway.

    OK

Review by GREG PALMER on Jul 5, 2013

THE FEEDER IS WHAT I ORDERED. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND A FEEDER THAT IS MAID FROM A THICKER GAGE STEEL. ONCE THE PIGS GET TO 250LB THEY REALLY BEND THIS ONE UP. I HAVE ORDERED TWO OF THESE AND BOTH WERE DAMAGED IN SHIPPING.

Product OK, Assembly directions are terrible.

Review by Barb on Jun 30, 2013

The product is fine, but the directions for putting it together aren't worth the paper they were printed on. In case you have any doubts on my opinion of the assembly instructions, they stink.

    Really Great Feeder

Review by Ray on Mar 22, 2013

Good little feeder. I put it together with my 10 yr old grandson and he loved helping me. Took us about 1 1/2 hrs including all the 'why' questions the little man had! It holds 6 1/2 five gallon buckets of ground pig feed. It is sheet metal so there will be a few small gaps at some joints which one can use sealant to take care of any feed leakage. It's a perfect way to start out the small pigs without all the feed wastage of using a trough. Plus being covered it keeps the birds and their nasty droppings out of the feed, which isn't healthy for the pigs.

very good feeder, I realy like it.

Review by white oak ranch on Dec 28, 2012

I would recommend this to anyone with pigs. I am going to buy the one without the lids for my chickens and turkeys soon. One of the best ones I have ever had.

Review by Tamworth on Sep 10, 2012

Great feeder, well built. It holds 160lbs of mash and holds up in the rain very well (kept feed dry). Ensure to seal all the screwed areas with clear sealant. Buying another soon.

    Great feeder

Review by Fun with pigs on May 9, 2012

This feeder is really nice. It was fairly easy to put together, and is of good quality. We are only part time hog raisers, 4-H, and it is a great value too.
