RAKS™ Deer Mineral
RAKS™ Deer Mineral is proven to produce rapid antler growth. This unique mineral mix was developed in Nebraska. RAKS™ provides a proven balance of vitamins and minerals that improves deer herd health, immunity and energy.
Protozoa (single-celled organisms) live in the rumen and intestinal tracts of deer. Protozoa takes away feed energy and growth from deer, but the Yucca saponins found in RAKS™ Deer Mineral reduce the protozoa concentration in the rumen. This mineral supplement acts as an attractant encouraging deer to visit the site daily. The average deer will consume about 2-4 grams per day.
Planting Instructions: Clear the ground by removing sticks, leaves and debris in the area to be planted (about 3' x 3' square). Then loosen the soil approximately 6" deep. Mix 12-18 lbs. of Raks™ Mineral into the soil and sprinkle your mineral lick with water to make it moist.
When to Apply: Start the lick in March, reapply in May, June, July, September and November.
How Much Should I Use?: 1 lick per 20 acres is recommended for heavily deer populated areas. The area should be easily accessible to the deer near deer trails, water and food plots. Bucks crave mineral in the summer months as their antlers grow. For rapid antler growth, be sure the deer have all the mineral they need.
