Stop wood chewing habits in horses with the hot, cinnamon taste of Farnam® Chew Stop™ - Aerosol or Liquid. Spray, paint, roll or brush on surfaces where horses chew, such as fences, corrals, stalls, mangers, gates, posts and tree bark. It will keep horses from chewing blankets and bandages. The clear liquid won't stain white fences or discolor other painted surfaces.
Directions for Use — Liquid (#440073):
- Apply generously to all surfaces within reach of your horse. Use a hand sprayer, power sprayer, paint brush or roller. When applying as a spray, remove animals from stalls during application. Chew Stop™ may be applied to the bark of mature trees. It will not stain or discolor painted surfaces. Repeat application to problem areas as necessary until your horse forgets his habit.
- Coverage: One gallon will cover approximately 300 sq. ft. of unpainted surface and 400 to 500 sq. ft. of painted surface.
- Caution: When applying Chew Stop™ to blankets or bandages, do not apply to surfaces that may come in contact with the horse's skin. Chew Stop™, when in contact with the skin, may cause blistering under certain conditions.

- SHAKE WELL. Remove protective cap and apply generously to all wood surfaces within reach of your horse. Spray from a distance of 4"-6". Remove animals from stalls during application. Can be applied to the bark of mature trees. It will not stain or discolor painted surfaces. Repeat application to problem areas as necessary until your horse forgets his habit. When applying to blankets or bandages, do not apply to surfaces that may come in contact with the horse's skin. Chew Stop™, when in contact with the skin, may cause blistering under certain conditions.
- Coverage: One 12.5 oz. can will cover approximately 35 square feet of unpainted surface and 53 square feet of painted surface.

Q: Chew stop 64 oz container; I bought some but I need to know what’s in it and all it has as aromatic hydrocarbons in the MSDS. Is the can an active ingredient of cinnalyhde but also has mineral spirits and prop 65. What is in it?
A: All that we have is the MSDS sheet which we have attached.
Q: If we spray this on trees in one of our pastures, how long will it last, or how will we know when to reapply
A: The required frequency of application will be dependent on the temperament of the horse, length of the habit, climatic conditions, and the type of surface.
