will get more, very fast service
Very sturdy and easy to install.
purchased 3 of these earlier this year, out of the three one of the buttons keeps coming off and it will not stay on (maybe thread lock) the others worked very well, definitely saves on the water bill. i purchased 3 more recently, as before arrived quickly BUT this time without the buttons (valves). so i called the number and they quickly (without) cost to me overnight ed the valves to me. i could only say great service and went beyond what i expected to correct mistake. have other things to purchase from them this week and would recommend using them for anyone for your needs. great work folks at QC Supply. and thank you
now own about 12 of these and they work very well for all my pig to sow needs easy to accommodate to my every need from piglets to sows and boars love this product. did have a slight problem with the fat hogs removing the valve button from one of the waterers.
Would recommend this product and very fast service
Just received so haven't hook up yet but they are just what we wanted and appears to be a solid built product!
will get more
Works great. Easy to hook up to large barrel. pigs work it with less mess.
We Purchased 5 of these last year, They work so wonderful that we just purchased another one for this year. Best watering system we have found.
Excellent and easy
I researched and researched and shopped around. I found out these cup waterers line up exactly with most stock tank drain plugs and can be screwed right in. I opted for 100 gallon stock tank and unscrewed the plug, teflon taped the threaded end on waterer and screwed it right in the drain plug hole. Works like a charm and have an excellent hog waterer for under $100. I did drill out the orifice for it to be a gravity flow and my hogs haven't destroyed it yet. Works great! I have another as well with a 3/4" bulk head fitting on a barrel like some of the other reviews - just drilled out hole on plastic tab in back of valve after taking off screen.
should specify mounting hardware is seperate
Product works great, but does not come with mounting hardware for wall installation.
What a burden lifted!!:)
First we got 3 then came back for a 4th- we were using an old cow water cup which the pigs were destroying-- These fit the bill like a hand in glove GREAT for pigs- as rugged as they are We are very happy with these!!
First, I would say there should be some instructions from the manufacturer about adjusting the flow. I called QC to ask and they were very helpful. For me, I needed something that would work with gravity flow, our animal area is not close enough for piped in water. Even after talking with QC, I modified the plastic adjuster by drilling it out, so the water had a full flow, and kept the screen in place. Not hard to do. Now, it flows very well from gravity, from a 5gallon bucket. I happen to already have a bucket which I put a valve in, so I just hooked a hose from the bucket to the watered, and it's fine.
perfect! Buy it!
Strong, solid and fit for a good pig knock-around!
Husband assembled them with ease. The animals don't go through as much water with these bowls.
Bought one of these for my daughter's 4-H pig and companion. They quickly figured out how to use it which eliminated spilled water. I was able to connect it directly to a 5-gallon pickle bucket with a trip to the hardware store and should be able to attach it to a water line once the threat of freezing is past.
good product last well
Solved our water problem!!
We were tired of flipped over pans and clogged up float type waterers. This did the trick. Plastic bulkhead fitting (like those for rubbermaid tubs) (available from Tractor Supply) and some teflon tape for the threads worked perfectly to attach it to a plastic drum for gravity feed application. Just drilled a hole for the fitting, screwed it all together then screwed the drum directly to the wall to prevent tipping, wa lah! Wish I knew how to adjust the flow, but works fine, just a little slow.
These waterers are great! The water is cleaner than using pans and it never gets turned over. We mounted these to the barn wall and to our pasture farrowing huts. Everything from piglets to mature boars and sows can drink from these. On the highest flow rate these waterers are perfect for gravity fed systems.
We have a dozen of these and love them. Everything from piglets to 800 lb boars use them with ease. Simple to install on a barrel with a 3/4" bulkhead fitting. Bulkhead fitting at TSC is $8. Don't know if it could be easier to do.
great concept hard to assemble correctly
Like the product but we are having a hard time getting the waterer attached to a barrel without leaking. It's a great concept. Our pigs like it.
