I bought this tag reader thinking that it could read tags on cows.It will read the tag numbers but so frustrating to use.Poor design buttons hard to use.The read range is very limited and diffcult to use.Only good to check if tags works before putting on animals.I gave up using this reader and bought the Alfex Wand.Dont waste your money on this reader get the wand you will be glad you did.
QC Supply Response: The handheld reader is for tag reading only. Most tags can be read on the animal at 12-18" depending on tag placement.
