I always wanted a heated garage so when I built my new home 3 years ago I researched several electric heaters because my area of town does not offer natural gas. I purchased a QMark heater from QC Supply along with the ceiling bracket and a wall mounted thermostat. The heater works awesome and I even am able to hand wash my cars inside the garage during the winter months. It is so quiet that I can even run a TV without blaring the sound. I love it.
I highly recommend the mounting bracket because otherwise it would be difficult to hang by itself.

I really like my 7.5 kw Q-mark heater in my over sized 2 car garage. This unit might be a little big for my area but I like to maintain a 40-45º temp and then when I go out there to work I turn the thermostat up and it heats up to 60º in about 20 minutes. I also had a switch installed on the back of the heater so I can run the fan during the summer and get a slight breeze and air movement. The motor is a about the same noise level or maybe a little less then when the garage door opener runs.
