About the Active Ingredient - Zinc Phosphide is left where the rodents can eat it. The acid in the digestive system of the rodent reacts with the phosphide to generate the toxic phosphine gas. This method of vermin control has possible use in places where rodents immune to many of the common poisons have appeared. The baits have strong, pungent garlic-like odor characteristic for phosphine liberated by hydrolysis. The odor attracts rodents, but has a repulsive effect on other animals.

Great for voles Review by Mike

We live in the outskirts of town with woods behind us. Before using this product, we would find all kinds of vole tracks all over our yard in the Spring after the snow melts. Upon recommendation from a neighbor we have been using this for years and it eliminates our vole problem. We just sprinkle this around the border of our property a couple times in the fall and that's it! Great stuff!
