Model RS Electric Infrared Heater has a built-in manual electromechanical power regulator. It controls the power by cycling it on and off, this gives you a variable output of 23-70% and a 100% high output. This infrared heater will not automatically shut-off by itself.
Model MR has a built-in solid state automatic temperature sensing control. The infrared heaters temperature sensor is 6’ long and attaches to the control. It is in the middle of Winter with degrees down to -15 some nights. We have an injured horse with a 1"w x 5"l lower inside cannon bone leg wound that we are trying to heal up. So we installed this heater for the warmth at night and better for the injury to heal.
