A versatile, clear, colorless, hygroscopic liquid that functions as a humectant, preservative and lubricant. An all purpose diluent and vehicle used in various veterinary pharmaceutical preparations. Combine with Nolvasan disinfectant solution to make a teat dip (32 oz. of Nolvasan in a clean gallon container, add 6 oz. of glycerin and fill with clean water). Helps prevent drying and retains moisture on the skin. Used as a topical sweating agent in horses. Indicated for use in poultices to remove fluids from inflamed and swollen areas.
