CARMILAX® BOLETS® contains magnesium hydroxide for use as an antacid and mild laxative. CARMILAX BOLETS is administered in bolus form.

CARMILAX BOLETS is approved for use as an aid in the treatment of bovine digestive disorders requiring an antacid or mild laxative.

• Magnesium hydroxide formula has proven ruminal alkalizing activity that decreases lactic acidity in the digestive tract resulting, for example, from a high concentrate or high energy ration.
• CARMILAX comes in two dosage forms–bolus and powder–for added convenience.

Dosage and Administration

Administer 1 bolus per 60 lb of bodyweight to a maximum of 6 boluses. CARMILAX® Powder is recommended as the initial dose for prompt action or in calves weighing less than 200 lb.

Precautions

Milk that has been taken from animals during treatment and for 12 hours after the latest treatment must not be used for food.
