Raytec WayPig® Animal Scale

We purchased this scale to weigh 4-H pigs and sheep. It was a little tricky finding the exact adjustment for the scale to weigh correctly. But it was easy to use getting our animals in and out with no problems.

Can't get consistent, or even accurate weighs. Bought the scale about 2 months ago, it hasn't been right yet. We used two digital scares for comparison. Have been in contact with the manufacturer several times to get some guidance, that's gone nowhere. Now we have sent the head back for them to look at. After several hours on the phone with them, we are still dealing with a seemingly worthless piece of equipment that weighs twenty plus pounds different from one end of the scale to the other. Feels like the manufacturer is giving the run around. Tired of several hours on the phone with no solution in sight. I Do not recommend this product.

Overall a good product. Made of steel so it is a bit heavy, even with the wheel kit, but rock solid. It took a few tries to get the scale head aligned and in place but weighs like a champ now. Make sure your oil damper is aligned properly with the reservoir and that the bracket is TIGHT!

NOTE -- The scale does not travel well if you were considering it for a club, or group purchase. The vibration of trailering causes the reservoir to leak/splash around and loosening of the nuts and bolts that hold the scale carriage.

Easy to assemble. Weighs very accurately

I have used this scale for the last 7 years and would not have been able to function without it. I have weighed pigs, lambs, goats and calves. It is very sturdy and the animals don't get scared in it. I only wish that it was taller to continue to weigh a larger calf.
