Woven Shade vs Knitted Shade: Woven Shade is constructed from woven polypropylene and is about 30% heavier than knit shade. The lifespan is about 10-12 years. Woven is more plastic looking than knit shade. Primarily used for livestock and greenhouse applications.
Knitted Shade is made from knitted polyethylene and has a lifespan of 7-10 years. More cloth-like to the look and feel and has threads running in various directions. Due to the construction, it will not unravel if cut or if a hole occurs. Multiple applications including backyard shade, windbreaks, deer fencing, aviary, and carports.

Q&A
Q: Will water collect on top and make a pond on top or will it drip thru? Thinking about shade in our pig pen.
A: If it is a heavy rain it will pool. Once it stops it will drip through.
Q: Is this an appropriate way to provide shade for sheep in a field with no trees?
A: Yes, this is a top product for any livestock shade.
Q: How often should the shade be supported when hanging horizontally for cattle or sheep?
A: It is best supported every 8-10 feet
Q: How much wind can it withstand?
A: This would be dependant on how it is installed. Give us a call at 888.433.5275 for further assistance.
Q: I am thinking of using this as an insect barrier. Is the weave close enough to keep out insects? Flies, mosquitos, and gnats?
A: This would not be a good product for that use. The weave is not tight enough.
Q: I notice most people have pitch to their structures for the fabric. Is a pitch necessary?
A: No it is not necessary to have a pitch.
