Great charger for keeping the bear away from the honey bees.
I have two of these that have worked 24/7 for several years. Each powers about a mile of galvanized steel wire that contacts dense brush. Even when the brush is wet it still has enough power to deliver a serious jolt.
On a few occasions, a piece of rusty wire accidentally contacted the fence and shorted it out. This causes the Parmak to shut down. It did not blow the fuse. When I removed the short the Parmak started back up with no problems.
It's a tough and reliable energizer. Highly recommended.
I have had one of these for 2-3 years. It quit the other day without ANY warning - just QUIT. Checked the fuse - perfect; replaced the fuse anyway. Still does not work. Of course, it quit the day I turned out the stallion into his new paddock….he had the fence down in 24 hours (before I could replace the thing).
We cover a rather large amount of acreage in North ID. the lay out of land has steel fence posts and wooden so it is nice to have a fencer that will keep the voltage up when the wild game goes through and twists the wires in the post fence lines. we know our bulls and cattle herds are not getting mixed or out.
Parmak has been our energizer of choice for over 15 years. Still think it is probably the best buy, cost versus performance, after having used a couple other brands of low impedance fencers.
