Prevent over-watering your lawn or garden with the Melnor FlowMeter Water Timer. An easy way to monitor how much water you are using, this flow meter measures the exact amount of the water you use at any pressure and then shuts off after the desired amount has been delivered. Simple to install, just attach the meter between your faucet and garden hose and activate with a twist. The unit measures the usage in gallons or liters and measures up to 1,600 gallons.

I have these on all the hoses around my property. They work great and are very no-nonsense. Be sure to put them away when winter comes.

Seems to run a long time

Since I have no other flow meter to compare with, I assume the flow rate is accurate. You can set the dial for gallons or for estimated minutes. I set for the time but it seems to stay on for twice as long. Apparently I have a lower flow rate. Than I expected thought. I now set it for about half The expected time duration and works More to my expectations. It is not eh fault of the device. Would buy again.
