I am happy and my kittys are happy
keeping warm for less
great customer service glad to save money with lower wattage
Thin glass, but works well.
Works as described. Wish I could get a 125 watt bulb like I used to be able to find. The glass is thin. I've obtained heat lamps in the past that had much thicker glass than this one. Seems to be good quality for the price, however.
I've been unsuccessfully hunting for a replacement red heat bulb for my little chicks. All the stores are selling only the 250 watt bulbs which I believe would burn up these six chicks, giving me "fried chicken" instead of healthy hens. Therefore I resorted to the internet. I was disappointed that I couldn't find a red bulb under 175 watts of a good quality, but took a gamble with this one, hoping it won't be too hot (I keep my chicks in a hot basement where the wood stove is). I am very pleased to say that these bulbs work very well and are in fact, just right. Hopefully they'll last as long (or better) as I believe they will. It looks very solid and heavy duty.
Great QC Supply service
Ordered two. One went out after a week. QC supply promptly agreed to send out another one. Rated for 8000 hours but will wait and see.
Just what I needed
Great bulb, hard to find lower wattage red bulbs. Good price, now just need to see how long it will last.
This bulb is perfect for adding significant but gentle warmth to my insulated chicken coop in northern Wisconsin. A larger bulb tends to overheat, while this one is just right for my little flock of four laying hens. The bulb appears to be strong and safe, and I am very satisfied with its performance after a couple of weeks in use.
Excellent tough heating bulb
Excellent bulb with heavy duty glass. When I read on the package that it could be used for livestock I knew I had the same durable bulb that we used to keep young pigs warm when I was growing up on the farm. They really took abuse and hardly ever broke.
sturdy light, thought it would be thin glass for what it cost but its a good grade of glass
