All installation and service of these units should be performed by a qualified installation and service agency including the use of Modine’s installation and service manuals which are specifically intended for use by a qualified installation and service agency.

Designed for safety, the Modine Flame Roll Out Switch for models, HD30 - HD75 detects a high temperature condition due to inadequate combustion air. If detected, the sensor will shut down the heater to prevent a fire or carbon monoxide poisoning.

Works With the Following Models:

  • HD30AH
  • HD45AH
  • HD60AH
  • HD75AH

For Modine® Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) models ONLY.  These models are denoted with an 'AH' in the model number.

Solved my problem

12 year old Modine HD30 began malfunctioning. Ignition Control was showing a "4 flashes" error code. Traced the problem to a defective top flame rollout switch. Replaced both top and bottom flame rollout switches while I had the front cover off. Problem solved.
