The Hudson Valve is a Damage-Proof Automatic Valve Used for Fluid Control.
The Hudson Valve maintains fluid levels in various applications, replacing ball float valves. The Hudson Valve's internal parts are made of ABS plastic, EPDM rubber & stainless steel. Fluid levels force a float to rise and close the diaphragm chamber as the diaphragm expands to stop the incoming flow. When the fluid level drops, the diaphragm escape is opened and allows the fluid to fill the tank. The Hudson Valve is resistant to freezing.

- Installs in seconds
We also carry the Benson Bracket (#120032) for easy mounting of the Hudson Valve to tanks and troughs (works only with the 1" valve), as well as the Hudson Valve Repair Kit (#120019).

Brand Hudson Valve Manufacturer Part Number V
- Very pleased
Best prices on the web! Quick delivery and exactly what I needed! Have you booked marked for my future needs!
- Great product
The valve was purchased on the strength of the recommendation by Michael Kreisle from a Utube video. It is exactly as depicted and will be suitable to our application for a tank to supply our pressure washer. The valve arrived 10 days after the order which is great seeing we are in Australia. Great service and price.
- great product
great product. tirelessly keeps my fish pond full. easy to install, simple design, great price. fast service from qc supply.
- Great service
They do fail every few years. I'm happy to find replacement unit a a reasonable price. I missed those free gloves this year. I use them for biking. Thanks Laura for your assistance when I goofed up my original order.
- keep your eye on them
I have used these valves for about 8 years, on my 3rd one. They work great but you have to keep your eye on them to catch them failing, after about a year or so. The result was a kill of all my koi in a 2500 gal pond due to the chlorinated water going in. I still use them but you have to keep your eye on them.
- simple and easy
It is a very good stop valve. I have used this valve for years. Simple and easy.
Works perfect, pleased with serviced
- great product
QCsupply was fast and easy to use. Valve was simple to install and works good to keep pond level constant. Much simpler and smaller than what I used before this.
- Fixed a fish pond
I have installed this valve on a 700 gallon fish pond that has a history of leaks associated with the small waterfall. I was able to attach to a 1 inch irrigation line 10 feet from the edge of the pond. Now I can leave the waterfall and its incorporated biologic filter operating when I travel. Previously I had to pull a hose and periodically add large amounts of water at one time. This valve will allow unattended more frequent smaller additions.
Excellent product, excellent service
- 1 inch Hudson valve
Have used 10 0f these and until now, all have been very satisfactory. The one previous to new purchase leaked water (did not shut off.) Not sure why. Replacement seems to be working fine. History is valve needs replacing once a year which seems to be related to hard water building calcium.
- Water Valve
Worked exactly a expected. Because it was partially visible in my pond, I sprayed a light black coat on the blue float.
- Best Valve for my purpose.
I had several different float valves for my ponds. They weren't as compact and didn't last. This valve fits perfectly with my plumbing design. I had to replace this valve after 4 years.I thought I needed to clean it, and after taking it apart to do so, I couldn't get it to shut off. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work anymore, so I bought a new one.
- Delivery, quality and operation all excellent
Excellent product for service required
- Review by Consumer
Works perfect for our fountains. I had to purchase one the old one just gave out and over spilling fountain, My pool guy said his supplier was out of stock. So I purchased two of them and I am glad I did our other fountain had the same problem so I able to fix both of our fountains on the same day. I would buy again from QC Supply. fast shipping too.
- Works as advertised
Easy to install and works like a charm.
- Awesome Valve!!!
Best valve out there for a stock tank. Can mount in middle of tank to prevent livestock from messing with it. Far superior to junk ones that mount on side of tank.
- Plastic pin problem solved by Hudson
This valve is used to shut off the supply to a 1000 gallon well water reservoir tank. The original worked for about 7 years. Inexpensive and easy to replace. The plastic pin problems mentioned in earlier reviews appears to have been solved by Hudson. It is now a sheet metal type screw so it is easy to remove and replace without damage.
- good product and service
speedy shipment, product looks good. good service.
- Good product
Product used for controlling water level in a 5,000 gallon pond. Last about a year in a high calcium level water source.
- Great Service
Good price, got here fast
- product is very good
had my first one over ten years just wore out. new one works perfect
- works great!!!
Easy to set up and install works perfectly
- works fine after initial hiccup
Couldn't get the valve to shut off, even after allowing the control chamber to fill up with water. Had read previous posts about similar problem. Took it apart and re-tried twice before it would shut the water off. Never did decide just what the problem was. Now it seems to work fine. Using it to maintain water levels in two 1500 gallon holding tanks.
- Quick and Easy
Not sure why the original one quit but the new one works great. QC Supply was quick and easy! Perfect..
- very good stop valve
- Pool valve
Have had one maintaining water level in my pool for past 10 years. The diaphragm eventually warps but valve works very well until then.
Love this valve.
- Worked great right out of the box
This is working great as a level maintenance valve in a cistern. I have city water backing up the rain water that I collect from the roof and it keeps the level from getting to low and burning out the irrigation pump.
- Great product
I use the 1" vavle to maintain the level in my in ground pool. It works great. I would recommend this to a friend.
A good product. QC has the best prices on them too!!
- does the job..
used this valve and it works great, no regrets!
- Excellent "bit of kit"
Excellent product, very well made. Highly recommended.
- Good Product
Good product for the automatic pool fill. Only problem is the small rubber washer at the top of the shut off which deteriorates and it is not available in the parts kit so you end up each time having to buy a whole new valve. QC's prices though are substantially below all the competition.
- Best answer to a koy pond with plants and fish
I ordered this valve to replace one I had been using for several years. The old one had limed up over years of uneventful use. While waiting for the new one, I simply took the old one apart and cleaned it with "lime-away". Wow, easy to take apart, clean and replace. Now I have a standby for next time.
If you have a pond with plants, fish and other items, this is the answer. I tried other types with which did not meet my requirements.
- Pin problem fixed!
The old plastic pin was hard to remove, and I was happy to see the new valve has a regular metal screw in place of the plastic wedge.
My only complaint with the valve is it can emit an annoying hum or buzz when it is at the full state. But this was caused by a mounting that was not rigid enough with about 7 inches of free lead in plastic pipe providing a nice spring for resonance. Fixed by adding a rubber damper.
- Quality product, fast delivery
I appreciate your fast handling and shipping of this quality product. the float valve is installed and works as expected. Keep up the good work. Price was less than other suppliers.
- Great product
This unit works so much better than the old horse trough unit that I believe I will save enough money in water loss within a month to pay for it.
- great value for a great valve
didn't work out of the box but took it apart and put back together and it has been working great.
20 year old valve gave out. Been thru a lot. Replaced it and voila, just like new.
- Easily solved "sticky" diaphragm
Out of the box - didn't work. However this is not rocket science just good engineering. Disassembled and freed up the diaphragm, works like a champ. Excellent product guys, but I am going to order repair kit as it appears a few things could go wrong. Thanks.
- Great Product!
I ordered this valve for my new koi pond. It works great and the order arrived just two days after I placed the order online. Special thanks for the nice pair of gloves you included with my order.
- excellent product
The first Hudson valve just gave up after 4 years of use. Would not order any other valve but the Hudson to replace it. Can"t believe your great price. And thanks for the nice pair of complimentary gloves. Your company is awesome. You will see me as a return customer. Thanks!
- Advice to other reviewer
Sorry about the broken pin, you can call Hudson Valve at 800-748-6218 and they can get you a new pin.
- Excellent product for maintaining pond level
Excellent product for maintaining pond level.
- Great valve
Had one like this for 10 years in a landscape pond. It finally quit working properly. Couldn't find a new one locally at all (Denver area). Found this through Google immediately and ordered it. I had it in 3 days! Thanks QC Supply!
- Ought to throw in an extra pin
My plastic pin (p/n P10) broke too. I improvised with a plastic zip tie but it isn't as good. And I don't see that P10 pin part for sale here. I disassembled the valve thinking it needed cleaning when it didn't (my problem was upstream of the valve).
Aside from that one pin issue I have had two of these operating flawlessly for 5 years continuously. These are the closest things to a "solid state" no-maintenance float valve I have ever found. For less than $25 a pop get two for goodness sakes.
- Good Valve, poor pin design.
When I went to remove the plastic pin that holds the float valve in place it broke in two. The pin is clearly not well designed or strong enough.
