The Hudson Valve is a damage-proof automatic valve for fluid control.
Description

The Hudson Valve is a damage-proof automatic valve for fluid control.

The Hudson Valve maintains fluid levels in various applications, replacing ball float valves. The Hudson Valve's internal parts are made of ABS plastic, EPDM rubber & stainless steel. Fluid levels force a float to rise and close the diaphragm chamber as the diaphragm expands to stop the incoming flow. When the fluid level drops, the diaphragm escape is opened and allows the fluid to fill the tank. The Hudson Valve is resilient to freezing.

We also carry the Benson Bracket for easy mounting of the Hudson Valve to tanks and troughs (works only with the 1" valve), as well as Hudson Valve Repair Kits.

Pool valve Review by K

Have had one maintaining water level in my pool for past 10 years. The diaphragm eventually warps but valve works very well until then.
Love this valve.

Worked great right out of the box Review by Rain Catcher

This is working great as a level maintenance valve in a cistern. I have city water backing up the rain water that I collect from the roof and it keeps the level from getting to low and burning out the irrigation pump.

Excellent product, very well made. Highly recommended.

Good Product Review by Chuck

Good product for the automatic pool fill. Only problem is the small rubber washer at the top of the shut off which deteriorates and it is not available in the parts kit so you end up each time having to buy a whole new valve. QC's prices though are substantially below all the competition.

Best answer to a koy pond with plants and fish Review by sam

I ordered this valve to replace one I had been using for several years. The old one had limed up over years of uneventful use. While waiting for the new one, I simply took the old one apart and cleaned it with "lime-away". Wow, easy to take apart, clean and replace. Now I have a standby for next time.

If you have a pond with plants, fish and other items, this is the answer. I tried other types with which did not meet my requirements.

Pin problem fixed! Review by Mike H

The old plastic pin was hard to remove, and I was happy to see the new valve has a regular metal screw in place of the plastic wedge.

My only complaint with the valve is it can emit an annoying hum or buzz when it is at the full state. But this was caused by a mounting that was not rigid enough with about 7 inches of free lead in plastic pipe providing a nice spring for resonance. Fixed by adding a rubber damper.

Great product Review by AL

This unit works so much better than the old horse trough unit that I believe I will save enough money in water loss within a month to pay for it.

Easily solved "sticky" diaphragm Review by William

Out of the box - didn't work. However this is not rocket science just good engineering. Disassembled and freed up the diaphragm, works like a champ. Excellent product guys, but I am going to order repair kit as it appears a few things could go wrong. Thanks.

Great valve Review by The car Keeper

Had one like this for 10 years in a landscape pond. It finally quit working properly. Couldn't find a new one locally at all (Denver area). Found this through Google immediately and ordered it. I had it in 3 days! Thanks QC Supply!

Ought to throw in an extra pin Review by Orchard Sprayer

My plastic pin (p/n P10) broke too. I improvised with a plastic zip tie but it isn't as good. And I don't see that P10 pin part for sale here. I disassembled the valve thinking it needed cleaning when it didn't (my problem was upstream of the valve).

Aside from that one pin issue I have had two of these operating flawlessly for 5 years continuously. These are the closest things to a "solid state" no-maintenance float valve I have ever found. For less than $25 a pop get two for goodness sakes.

Good Valve, poor pin design. Review by Jolly Farmer

When I went to remove the plastic pin that holds the float valve in place it broke in two. The pin is clearly not well designed or strong enough.
